There are more than 350 ancient monuments within a six-mile radius of the village of Kilmartin, Argyll: 150 of them are prehistoric. This extraordinary concentration and diversity of monuments distinguishes the Kilmartin valley as an area of outstanding archaeological importance. |

The gallery was established in 1980 by Andrew and Sarah Whitfield when they decided that their new home would also provide a perfect setting for an art gallery. Since then, the gallery has been a feature of the Edinburgh fine art scene and is renowned for the quality and range of its stock. Paintings and sculpture are shown in an elegant domestic setting surrounded by antique furniture, on three floors of the house. |
